Antipodes Islands

The Antipodes Islands

Located 820 kilometres southeast of New Zealand, the Antipodes Islands are best described as inhospitable. The general public are forbidden from setting foot on the islands because of their value as breeding grounds for species such as the Antipodes Island Snipe and Antipodes Parakeet, both of which are endemic to the islands.
